On Defense — Controls & Mechanics
As an OD player, you have access to four game control buttons in addition to your arrow keys. These buttons are shared between all OD players — any OD player can press them at any time.
From Pregame: begins the 60-second Starting countdown. Once that countdown ends, all circles lock into place and the 10-second pre-game countdown begins. Requires at least one OD player to be connected.
From Pause: resumes the game from exactly where it left off.
Immediately suspends the game. All movement and timers freeze. Any players who joined mid-game and were queued are placed into the game when play resumes.
Use this to call a timeout, wait for a teammate to reconnect, or coordinate before continuing.
Skips straight to a fresh 10-second countdown, locking all OD circles in their current positions immediately. This is useful for quickly replaying without going through the full 1-minute practice phase.
Returns the game to the Pregame practice phase. All players can move freely again. Use this whenever you want to reposition before the next round starts.
This is the button to use between games when OD wants a fresh setup.
When the server starts (or after a Rephase), all players enter the Pregame practice phase, shown on screen as "Practice."
During Pregame, as an OD player:
Use the pregame phase to choose your starting formation carefully. When you (or the GM) press Start, the 60-second Starting countdown begins — you can still move during those 60 seconds. When the countdown reaches zero, a final 10-second lock-in begins and your positions become fixed for the start of the game.
